About Cinema Politica Riverdale
Cinema Politica Riverdale aims to engage its school as a community by provoking discussion and invigorating democratic spirit through the exhibition of political cinema.
This film club, exclusive to Riverdale students and staff, aims to create a meeting place for Riverdale Community Members to learn with each other, express their point of view, and encourage dialogue between one another. The films will vary in content, but will focus on current social and environemntal issues that affect people within the Riverdale and greater community.
Screenings will take place biweekly on Tuesday afternnoons at 3:45 in Riverdale's video screening room. Discussions following the film will be moderated by a host or, when possible, a guest speaker to further dialogue and understanding of the issues covered by the films.
